SHOW NOTES:

This week on The Everygirl Podcast, Josie sits down with Kat Jamieson, an OG fashion blogger and tastemaker and, most recently, author of the book Blended. The episode kicks off with a little bit of Kat’s background: how and where she grew up, what it was like to get into the blogging space early on, and how she became interested in health and wellness. Kat tells the story of living a fast-paced lifestyle working in the fashion industry in New York City in her early 20’s, and how she started to suffer from severe gut problems while she was living that lifestyle. You’ll hear Kat discuss her journey towards wellness through a focus on her nutrition, and how that evolution shifted everything for her. Josie and Kat have a conversation about the healing benefits of meditation, and Josie asks Kat for an in-detail description of her morning routine. From there, the two dive right into a discussion of Blended, plus some of Kat’s biggest tips for staying well, from lemon water before coffee in the mornings to going outside and grounding. Kat reveals that she is an introvert, explaining some of the things she learned during the pandemic about making time for herself and making sure that she is not constantly socially engaged. Kat and Josie talk about Kat’s workout routine, from the benefits of low-impact workouts to the importance of taking a rest day. The conversation closes with an overview of Kat’s gorgeous, small and intimate wedding that she planned last year and shared on her social accounts.
